Summer Springboard @ Cal Poly
Summer Springboard @ Cal Poly is a collaboration between Cal Poly Extended, Professional & Continuing Education and Summer Springboard, a recognized operator of summer programs for high school students. Cal Poly’s EPaCE program expands the opportunities for students at and outside of the university.
Summer Springboard was founded to give college-bound teens a supportive environment where they can explore their personal and academic passions. These innovative pre-college summer programs combine the benefits of an academically challenging summer experience with tools and frameworks for personal leadership development and self-discovery. We ensure high quality programming and student safety through rigorous staff training and our 5-Point Safety System.
Leveraging the years of success enjoyed by its sister organizations, Global Leadership Adventures and Discover Corps, Summer Springboard aims to continue the tradition of providing unique and compelling summer experiences for college-bound teens. Summer Springboard operates pre-college programs for teens at Yale University, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC San Diego, Georgetown University, and other elite colleges.
Program Framework
hands on learning
Dive deep into our academic immersion courses taught by industry professionals. Imagine learning Law from someone who argued before the Supreme Court or writing under the guidance of a published author.
career exploration
Beyond theory, there will be excursions and guest speakers for students to hear firsthand from experts in their field of interest. Past company visits included Google, Bloomberg, and the United Nations Foundation.
College prep
Through campus visits and enrichment electives, we provide a deeper understanding of the college admissions process. Students also make new friends from around the world and learn to live as a college student.
